This policy covers how Vawch treats personal information that Vawch receives and collects. Personal information refers to information that can be used to identify you such as your name, address, phone number, email, employment etc, which are generally not publicly available.

Vawch collects information to conduct business with you. We will only collect information by lawful and fair means and not in an intrusive manner. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete and current but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.

Information Collection and Use

• Vawch collects personal information when you sign up for our service either as a Recruiter or Referrer or when you apply for a job as a Candidate.
  
  
• When you register as a Recruiter, we ask you for your name, email address, job title, employer, mailing address, phone number, employer’s industry and your functional role.
  
  
• When you register as a Referrer we ask you for your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, industry and functional role.
  
  
• When you register as a Candidate we ask you for your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, industry, functional role, employment history and education history. We will also ask you for a resume when you apply for a particular job.
  
  
• Vawch collects information from you so that we may provide recruitment services to our customers (Recruiters, Referrers and Candidates), operate our business as it pertains to you, improve our products and services, contact you, conduct financial transactions with you, market our services to you, fulfill legal and regulatory obligations, as well as provide anonymous reporting to our internal and external clients.
  

Information sharing and disclosure

• Vawch does not rent or sell personal information about you to other people or third parties. In the event that you apply for a job, your personal information and resume may then be shared with the Recruiter for the particular position for which you are applying. The person who has referred you for a particular job will only be informed about the status of your application for that job.
  
  
• We may provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf or with Vawch under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help Vawch communicate with you.
  
  
• We may share information with the relevant authorities in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Vawch’s Terms of Business, or as otherwise required by law.
