What are the risks of engaging Vawch?
Absolutely none! We are a success-based channel that is complementary your existing recruitment channels.
Payment is due only upon your selected candidate starting employment. For our premium service, we offer a 3 month guarantee for your chosen candidate (from his or her start date).
Prices start from 4% of the candidate’s guaranteed annual compensation for government agencies and 6% for private employers, depending on the level of service required by the client. Fees start at a minimum of S$2,000. Value added services as part of our premium service can be provided for an additional fee. Premium services start at 9%.

How much
does the Vawch service cost?
Vawch offers 2 types of
services, standard and premium, with different levels of pricing for private or public sector firms.

The Vawch standard service costs a recruiter 4-6% of the annual guaranteed compensation (including base salary and guaranteed bonus). For the premium package, we charge an additional fee. But do remember, this is a success-based fee. You don’t incur any charges until Vawch has successfully filled your job with the perfect candidate!

What value-added
services do you offer?
Vawch has a developed a proprietary
candidate ranking (Vawch Candidate Ranking System™) and referrer scoring
(Vawch Score™) algorithm to filter the candidates who have submitted
their applications for a job. This way you can concentrate your
attention on the candidates who are ranked most highly but still have
access to all the candidates who have expressed interest in the job.
For our premium service, Vawch
consultants will screen the resumes beforehand and conduct a pre-screen
interview with the candidates before finally presenting a final shortlist for your consideration. The consultant may also assist in the setting
up and management of interviews with the recruiter. All in all, Vawch
offers significant value-added services for a competitive fee.
How is Vawch
different than newspaper classifieds or online job boards (e.g. JobsDB,
Monster.com)?
Unlike advertising channels
where the budget is expensed, Vawch has a guaranteed Return on Investment and only charges if your vacancy is filled. Additionally, the
typical resources associated with processing applications are minimized
(e.g. scanning, sorting resumes and identifying suitable candidates).
With Vawch, you are not limited to the referral reach of your employee base. You now have access to our network of professionals who have joined Vawch as referrers. The power of networked recruiting is its potential to uncover candidates who may not be actively looking for a job and also widens your search exponentially. We also share a significant portion of our fees with our referrers as rewards. We believe in rewarding the people who contribute to the success of the search.
Another unique point is Vawch’s positioning. Our platform is designed for professionals and only advertises high value positions with minimum annual compensation starting from S$50,000.
With our fast growing referrer
network, we anticipate to have a reach that is comparable to that of
the traditional advertising channels.
What if
an employee leaves after only a few months on the job?
Much like other traditional advertising channels, Vawch cannot guarantee that your selected candidate stays with your organization.
However, if you choose to work with our premium service, you will be covered. If a Vawch placed candidate sourced through our premium service leaves within 3 months of starting employment, Vawch will offer the recruiter a replacement search at no cost to the recruiter.
Who is doing
the referrals for me?
Vawch’s service is
conducted by the many referrers who have signed up to provide access
to their network of professional and personal contacts to the job vacancy.
These referrers may be experts in the particular field and know the
right people who work in that field or the referrers may just be ‘social
connectors’ who have a large network of contacts they can tap on.
These may include ex-headhunters or HR professionals.
I want this
search to be confidential. Won’t Vawch disclose my vacancy to the
world?
Vawch provides recruiters with the option to keep the search ‘confidential’ by not disclosing the
company’s name on the job board. We understand that you may wish to
keep a search confidential for competitive reasons.
I do not
want my competitors to know how much I am paying my employees. Can I
keep the salary confidential?
Vawch provides recruiters with
the option to keep the salary ‘confidential’ by not disclosing the
salary to our referrers. However, you will still need to tell Vawch
the salary range for the position so that we may calculate the estimated
rewards for our referrers. You may also choose to keep the company
name as ‘confidential’ but disclose the salary details to our referrers.
How can
we get employees from outside Singapore?
The Vawch platform is designed
to be global since we believe that the search for talent is now increasingly
a global one, especially in a tight small market like Singapore. Although
our initial focus is the Singapore market, we anticipate recruiting
referrers from all over the world who will then be able to refer good
candidates from their countries.
