Introducing Vawch for Referrers

Vawch is a new online referral marketplace. This platform allows professionals with valuable networks to vouch for other professionals to fill high value positions listed on our job board.

Our partnership is not limited to individuals but also open to headhunters who are looking to extract incremental value from their existing databases.

There are two ways to be a successful at Vawch. You can either refer candidates to our jobs or refer friends to us.

Placing candidates is simple: You refer qualified candidates to our advertised positions. If there is a match and your candidate takes up the position, you get a cut of the fees we collect from our recruiters.

Invite your friends to sign up with us. If your invited friend places a candidate or gets a job through Vawch, as a token of appreciation you will be rewarded a token amount for each successful placement.

What you should know about referring - Vawching 101

At Vawch, we believe in recognizing referrers who consistently refer quality candidates. Referrer's 'hit-rates' are reflected to recruiters to help them with their candidate shortlisting process. To support this, we have four levels of referrers: Regular, Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Vawch Score™ is a scorecard that assesses a referrer's likelihood for vouching suitable candidates for jobs. The score is determined by your historical referral performance and is dynamic. The higher the score the better. It is a key component in determining where your candidate ranks relative to other referred candidates.

Referrer FAQ

Who can be a referrer?

Just about anyone can be a Vawch referrer:

• Search agencies
• Retired HR functional experts / employees
• Current hiring managers with recruiting experience
• Any individual who has a large personal and professional network

Do note, however, that referrers with any connection with or influence over the recruiter and/or recruitment or hiring process for the position for which you have made referrals are not eligible to receive any rewards.

How much will I get paid for each successful candidate interview and placement?

Based on a percentage of the position’s annual compensation, the referral reward listed on each job advertisement provides an estimate of your likely reward should your referred candidate be hired. The final reward amount will be determined after salary details are finalized between the recruiter and the candidate. For more details, please refer to the referrer's Terms of Business. The referral reward is set at half of our standard rates and approximately 2-6% of the total annual base salary depending on the recruiter. (agencies typically offer ~1% rewards while employers ~3-6%).

When my candidate is interviewed or hired, when do I get paid?

Payment will be made to the referrers at the end of each month (for the month when the candidate interview is conducted).

For placements - as part of our commitment to ensure our recruiter’s search requirements are indeed fulfilled, you will only be paid after your candidate has completed at least three (3) months of employment at the recruiter’s company or when we get paid (whichever is later). Please refer to the referrer's Terms of Business for more details.

Is my personal information safe?

Vawch takes your privacy seriously and will never share, or sell our users information.

We will not disseminate your details to recruiters or third parties except with your expressed permission (i.e. when you apply for a job via Vawch) or pursuant to a legal obligation to which we are subject.

How many referrals can I make for each job?

Three. Part of the value we (both you and Vawch) provide to recruiters is that we only refer suitable candidates to them. In the event that you may have more than three candidates, prioritize them and select the best three.

In fact, if one of your candidates is a clear cut above the rest, we encourage you to only make one referral. This improves your reputation with our recruiters (via Vawch Score™) and will help you with your future referrals.

What is Vawch Score™ and what is my score?

Vawch Score™ is a scorecard that assesses referrers' likelihood for vouching suitable candidates for jobs. The higher the score the better.

After conducting your 5^th candidate referral, your Vawch Score™ is displayed with your login information on the top left hand corner of the screen.

Why is my Vawch Score important?

Your Vawch Score™ is important for two reasons:

• Gauge that recruiters’ use measure your reputation and ability to refer quality candidates
• Key component in determining how our algorithm ranks your candidate relative to other referrers

How is my Vawch Score™ determined?

Vawch Score™ is determined by your historical referral performance and includes factors such as the number of your candidate referrals being shortlisted or hired by recruiters.

The score is dynamic and updated real-time so please be careful with your referrals.

How do I know when my candidate referral has been successful?

Once the recruiter has informed us of the placement, we will promptly contact you to share the good news.

If you separately hear of the successful placement news through your candidate, please let us know by using the claim rewards function. We will subsequently confirm the news with the recruiters and quickly process your rewards.

How much am I rewarded for introducing friends to Vawch?

For every successful placement your introduced friend makes through Vawch, you will be rewarded S$200.

Similar to a candidate referral, your reward will be processed only after the candidate completes 3 months with the recruiters’ firm or when we get paid (whichever is later).

How can I tell which of my friends I have invited to join Vawch have joined?

You can do so using the manage contacts function.
